Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt is unique in the world.
A pioneering spirit and entrepreneurial courage, highly
qualified and motivated employees and support from
politics at a national and regional level have made
central Germany into an outstanding region for
photovoltaics.

The industry has formed a cluster called "Solar Valley
Central Germany". Within the scope of the German
government’s high-tech strategy, Solar Valley has been
winning the top cluster title since 2008 in the nationwide
competition promoted by the Federal Ministry of Education
and Research.
