The Solarvalley Mitteldeutschland cluster offers its members and partners an efficient information and networking platform. For this purpose the Solar Valley GmbH is charged with the day-to-day executive tasks and has regional offices in each of the three federal states. It also co-operates with industry representatives on-site.

The work focuses on the following measures:

ncreasing the attractiveness of the region for national and international investors
Representing the region in national and European industry institutions
As consultants for politicians in matters concerning business and technology, science and education and regional development
Co-ordination of representation of cluster members at international presentations, industry representation, expert committees and in the political arena
Identifying and uniting trend-setting and cross-sector themes
Initiation and management of joint projects in research and education
Active partnership with strategic national and European research institutions

A cluster board accompanies these activities in regard to implementation and project selection. The board initiates the strategic development of the cluster, together with high-ranking company representatives from Solarvalley Mitteldeutschland, representatives from the solar research and representatives of the governments of the three central German states. This fuels success in establishing a national approach and expanding Central Germany‘s role as a leading photovoltaic region worldwide.
