Solarvalley Summer School for Photovoltaics
The 2. Summer School for Photovoltaics will take place from the 12th to 16th of September, 2011, at the Martin-Luther-Universität in Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. Bachelor, Masters and PhD students are invited to take part in this event. Participate in a dynamic exchange of knowledge on the latest developments in photovoltaics and related curricula. Gain a broader perspective outside of your university. The summer school offers contact and dialogue with a variety of experts and can provide insights to help with your own career choices. It provides valuable enrichment to existing university courses:
- Presentations by national and international lecturers
- Seminars
- Laboratory visits in research institutions and industry
- Exciting discussions with experts of the solar industry and the Cluster of Excellence Solarvalley Mitteldeutschland, which show first hand which career opportunities await students today
Current research topics from the following areas will be addressed:
- Crystalline solar cells
- Inorganic thin-film solar cells
- Organic photovoltaic systems
- Module and system integration
- Light Management and innovative action mechanisms
Also planned are:
- a poster session by students of the Solarvalley Mitteldeutschland to present research topics and results
- company presentations and opportunities to make new contacts
