SiC Processing, a German company providing systems for conditioning used slurry from the solar industry, has captured a 40 per cent share of the global market for sawing suspension after increasing its revenues 60 per cent in 2010.

The company grew its revenues from over €100m in 2009 to nearly €161m in 2010 and its EBITDA nearly doubled to €51m, compared with €26m the previous year.

Germany accounted for over €27m of its revenues, representing a €6m increase on the previous year, while its revenues from the rest of Europe rose from over €51m to nearly €86m year-on-year.

The financial improvements come as the company has boosted its production capacity to 215,000 tons each year, with an installed equipment capacity of 5.4GW.

The company also announced further plans to increase its production capacities to 400,000 tons per year globally by the end of next year.

SiC Processing now has a presence in five countries, with production sites in Germany, China, Norway, Italy and the US.
